Michael Lee asked: The millionaire mindset is what sets successful people apart. Putting the millionaire mindset to use can ensure that you are applying the tools that most successful people use in order to reach their dreams of becoming millionaires.
The thought process of millionaires is different from those who never even thought about making it rich in their lifetime. It is something that you should be able to follow if you wish to create wealth for yourself in the future. Here are some thinking traits of millionaires that might help you out.
One of the characteristics of most millionaires and successful people in the world is that they think that they are responsible for their fate. To develop the millionaire mindset, you should be able to realize that you have it in you if you wish to change your current situation or life.
Millionaires and successful people do not blame their circumstances or condition to prevent them from doing something in order to get rich and become successful. They think that it is up to them to change everything around them for the better. Successful people think that it is their own responsibility to chart the course towards where they want to go and what they want to achieve in life.
Successful people know how to master their attitude. And in order to master their attitude, they know how to master the way they think. The way a person thinks can affect the way he acts. The millionaire mindset goes by this belief and it has to think “success” in order be successful. The power of positive thinking can work wonders in this aspect. Successful people are those who also think their way to success. They make use of positive boosts instead of making negative thoughts that bring them down.
People with the millionaire mindset also think that building networks is important in their quest for success. Building enriching relationships that support and encourage their dreams and aspirations is just as important as the hard work and effort that they put into their goals. Through a network of friends and colleagues, they are able to acquire valuable mentoring as well as important links to opportunities that can lead them to success.

Anja Merret asked: I bet I am going to get the attention of many many readers with that headline. The disappointing news is that unless you win the lotterry or have some other very very fortunate occurrence in your life, you are not going to make a million Dollars in one month.
We all want to be millionaires. We want to lead the life of the rich and famous. And we are convinced that they had that money fall into their laps, appear in their bank accounts one day, were really lucky in their deals, were at the right spot at the right time and any other bizarre kind of acquisition process one can think of. If you are Paris Hilton, then yes it did. However, if you look at the source of her money, it is certain that the original Conrad Hilton worked very hard for his money. Because that is what most millionaires have had to do. This includes the Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, John D Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, Oprah Winfrey or JK Rowling’s of this world, who have often been through hardships before their sheer determination and hard work paid off. Sometimes, they even had to endure going bankrupt in their quest for wealth, such as Conrad Hilton who lost his hotels during the Depression before buying them back again as soon as he could.
So you want to make a million Dollars in a month, starting from zero, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this article. Bury that thought. It isn’t going to happen to 99% of us. The question is though, taking away the one month time and extending that into a longer time period, of whatever length you would be comfortable with, would it be possible. Of course.
There are many reasons why the millionaires and billionaires have made it happen for themselves. In the next few posts I will examine some of these attributes, habits and obsessions that I think have made it possible for these people to earn the millions that they have. In this first article I am going to look at the one personality trait that I think would be the most important one to have in order to succeed. As with all personality traits, these are not ones necessarily that one is only born with. They can be developed by anybody. Besides this, any number of other people could determine that my first choice is not correct, unlikely to be the one and other general objections. With other words this is a personal opinion. I am sure there are many people who have other opinions on this, and I would love to hear them.
The most important characteristic for financial or other success is passion. It could be called obsession as well of course, or tunnel vision, one track mind, stubbornness and more. It really depends on how one looks at this personality trait whether one calls it passion or obsession. I am certain if one were to study the people who have managed to acquire their millions in their life time, that this one particular character trait would be found in all or most of them.
For an example, reading some background on JK Rowling, who is said to be just behind Oprah Winfrey in terms of wealth, world wide, in the entertainment field. Her first Harry Potter book was submitted to twelve publishing houses, all of which rejected it. A year later she finally was given the go ahead by a small publisher with an advance of ?1500.00. And the advice from the publisher was that she should get herself a job since she had little chance of making a living writing children’s books. The first Harry Potter book had a print run of 1000, of which 500 were sent to libraries. In a report by the BBC it is stated that 12 million copies are to be printed just for the United States market for the launch in July 2007. How many of us would have given up when we were told that we would never make it, the advice by a publisher who would probably have known his market?
If you want to make a million dollars, discover that something that makes you really really passionate. It’s there. You’ve just allowed life and all its ups and downs to burry it. Put some real and passionate effort into that exercise. It doesn’t matter what it is. Just as an aside, I think just being passionate about having lots of money isn’t the same! If that were so, I would be a billionaire by now. And if you are not interested in making a million Dollars, don’t beat yourself up either. Hope you have fun reading the posts anyway. Let me know how you go! For people who would like some help with getting passionate check http://www.anjamerret.blogspot.com

Dr. Bruce King asked: When I was about 13 years old I ordered something very memorable from an ad in the back of a magazine. It was a book called “How To Get Rich”. As I waited for my order to arrive I dreamed about all that I would do once I got wealthy. Things like, not go to school, play video games all day etc. Finally the day came that my book arrived and I quickly devoured the contents as I expected to learn the great secrets to getting my materialistic dreams. It was not a very thick book so it didn’t take me long to read it cover to cover. Here is what the book said, “The way to get rich is to write a book on how to get rich.” No kidding. Imagine my disappointment after hoping to hear some great secrets that would lead me to untold wealth. Of course, the writer of the book did come through on their promise to reveal how to get rich, it’s just that the answer was somewhat less than magical and even possibly unethical.
Today, 33 years later, the same game is being played in bookstores and over the internet. Numerous gurus and charlatans are promoting their get rich quick schemes by pointing to themselves as examples of how to get rich. How did they get rich? By telling others how to get rich. I won’t mention any names but these are prominent members of the Law of Attraction community. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big believer in the Law of Attraction, I just find it ironic that the way these people make most of their money is in telling other people how to make allot of money.
All this get rich stuff gets me thinking, what is wealth? I believe it is a perception. An American Indian living 500 years ago might have considered themselves wealthy if they had plentiful hunting grounds, a loving mate and a thriving tribe. Wealth seems to be relative to our perspective. Perhaps the true way to get wealthy is to have a wealth perspective. I would say you are probably extremely wealthy in material things compared to an American Indian 500 years ago, but I’ll bet that American Indian felt more wealthy than you do. Why? Once again, perspective.
Warren Buffet (one of the richest men in the world) was once asked what it was like to be so wealthy. His reply was that his life was not that much different from most people. Besides having some extra conveniences like a private jet and some nice places to live he stated that he ate the same food most people eat, slept in a bed like most people, wore the same clothes most people wear etc. You get the picture. The fact that Mr. Buffet’s life is not so dissimilar from the average person becomes obvious when we think about it. Most of our lives are pretty much the same when it comes to our human habits (eating, sleeping, excreting). Granted there are people living under bridges and others starving in war torn areas of Africa, but most people live pretty similar lives in the human habit sense. Perhaps the only real difference between a rich person and an average person is that after a rich person has gathered enough material wealth they allow themselves to feel wealthy.
So, I am going to tell you how to get rich. Allow yourself to feel wealthy. Enjoy and appreciate the things that you have. Be in the NOW of what you like and feel how much you like or love something while you are experiencing it. How many of us state that we love something but how often are we feeling that love while we are experiencing it? Next time you feel a cool breeze or smell a flower or anything that brings you pleasure, think about and feel the feelings of how much you love that thing. Then you will truly be a rich person.

Amanda M. asked: Many of us familiar with the Law of Attraction know that the quickest way to achieve our goals is to think, feel, and act as though we have that which we desire already in our lives. For many of us, becoming a millionaire is one of these goals. Before we can expect to become a millionaire, we must live and act in a way that attracts this new lifestyle into our awareness. This does not mean go out to the local BMW dealership and buy a brand new car. The money simply will not appear overnight in the bank. Living with abundance and prosperity can be just as much in your mind as in your wallet. True riches come from abundance in your life which can be achieved by your behavior and how you promote yourself. Here are some simple tips to living like a millionaire today!
1) Gratitude The quickest path to riches, hands down is gratitude. You must first feel grateful for the many blessings in your life before you can expect to get more. No matter how bad things may seem I guarantee there is at least one thing, person, or situation that you can be grateful for. Even, if the situation is as simple as being grateful for a green light when you were in a hurry. No matter how small or stupid it may seem look for that one thing or person and allow that gratitude to grow. Feel the gratitude within yourself and take a few moments just to focus on it. You cannot expect to live an abundant life if you have bottled up anger and resentment.
2) Live for Success Successful people don’t waste their days away procrastinating all that should be done. Try getting up a little earlier in the morning and start to plan your day. You might begin your day by exercising and filling your mind with positive thoughts and affirmations. If you are looking for a career change or exploring the possibility of starting your own business, don’t just wait for it to happen, make a plan and take action! Sometimes feeling like a millionaire is as simple as changing the way you dress. If sweatpants or jeans and a T-shirt are your permanent uniform, try dressing up a bit. You don’t have to buy expensive dress clothes, any will do. As you begin to feel more confident in yourself you can do some browsing and window shopping at those more expensive stores and begin feeling what it would be like to live a millionaire lifestyle.
3) Seek Out Positive People and Surroundings I can go on and on until I am blue in the face about how important it is to surround yourself with positive people. Associating with those that continually put you down, or remind you of how sick you were last week, or just simply can’t find anything positive to talk about won’t do you a bit of good. Recognize those people in your life who are positive, and begin spending more time with them. If you cannot get away from the negative forces in your life, explain to them that you only wish to talk about positive things. This is your chance to affirm your new and positive self. Finding the positive applies to your surroundings as well. Try going to an expensive hotel or bar, and buy yourself a drink (just one is ok). While dressed in your nice clothes having a drink at this expensive bar begin soaking up what it will be like to live a millionaire lifestyle. Get used to having prosperity and abundance abound in your life.
4) Expect Success Now that you understand how to live like a millionaire without breaking the bank, expect success in your life. If you don’t expect success and abundance in your life, who will? Obviously, these tips will not work if you do not run your business with effort and persistence. Work hard, put forth your best effort and anticipate prosperity and abundance to begin manifesting themselves in your life. The universe does not conspire against you, it actually wishes all this for you and is waiting to give it to you right now. Believe that you deserve to become a millionaire and live the millionaire lifestyle. Be grateful for all that you have, and put forth your best effort persistently and consistently and you will see major changes take place in your life. Open up your heart and your hands to the possibilities and believe that you have already accomplished your goals.
Are you using Four Square , it is the next big thing

Dr. Gary S. Goodman asked: Michael Eisner, you know him, the CEO who was for many years at the helm of Disney, made a fortune working for The Mouse.
One year, as I recall, he put about 40 million bucks in his saddlebags from cashing in some of his stock options.
It caused a little bit of a stir at the time, but heck, he was one of the most responsible for making that stock price soar.
Compared to the $284 million some hedge fund managers are raking in today, Eisner’s 40M looks downright paltry.
Speaking of those hedge fund managers, to my knowledge, many of them are EMPLOYEES. They don’t have their own shops. They are part of big investment houses, corporations.
Whatever happened to that notion that “You’ll never get rich working for someone else?”
Just the other day this clich? was repeated by the author of a series of get-rich books.
What gives?
Haven’t they heard that corporate captains such as Jack Welch, former CEO of GE have been cashing in, big-time, for years?
In fact, if you can rise in the corporate ranks, you can probably make a hundred times more money than the typically self-employed man or woman.
Consider this carefully as you are entreated by the next guru to quit your day job and to “Jump and a net will appear.”
There may be no net to catch you. And jumping out of that corporate job may eliminate what was your best chance of getting rich, with minimal risk.

Mark Kithcart asked: A Millionaire Mentor – everyone wants and needs to have a mentor. But you need to know the only way that can happen is for you to deserve to have a mentor.
What should you look for in a mentor? Well what I did when I met my mentor Holton Buggs. A person who could impact my life dramatically. Did it work?
Holton changed our families lives forever. This servant took 3 1/2 years and flew from Houston Texas to Santa Rosa California once each month to mentor us. As a result my wife and I retired from Corporate America in our thirties. Holton sacrificed time at home with his family to help us achieve our goals. That is serious servant leadership.
Now – How can YOU have a millionaire mentor like that? Well, first of all get some of their precious time by asking them to lunch or dinner. Everyone needs to eat at some point, right?
Once you sit down with them you haven’t opened just one door but you just walked into a hall lined with doors as the conversation unfolds on how they became successful. Each door along the hallway has a journey associated with it. Some you will choose to pursue others you will open the door and then decide not to enter, just close the door and move on. The great thing is you get to choose where you want to go and how to get there. These doors where put there by you deciding to take action and actually sit down with this person. You never know, the person you sat down with that you admire may want you to work with them or even know someone that you could team up with on your journey. The doors are there will you find the hallway?
The greatest part of all is you will get insight into how that person acts, reacts and handles themselves in various scenarios that they experienced in their lives. When you are asking the questions of how they achieved the levels of success and the journey they took be sure not to forget these questions;
- What was your thought process during this period of time?
- What were you thinking as you decided to do x, y or z?
- Did you think you were going to get the result you did?
- What result were you expecting?
- Why didn’t it work out like you thought it would?
- What would you have done differently?
And most of all LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN. This is not a time to talk about you and what you are all about – remember you are where you are because of your current thinking, after all, you also asked them to lunch right? Bring a recorder if you can and record the conversation. Jot down notes about what they are saying so you can remember it later. The sharpest mind is weaker than the palest ink. It will also show them you are serious about learning this information. You’re not there just blowing wind or wanting to take their time and not take it seriously. Their time and your time is the most precious commodity you have. Be sure you thank them profusely before, during and after lunch and yes do it even if you are paying, the information they just gave you will change you life if you really want it to.
After the meeting sit down and review your notes that day before you go to sleep. If you recorded it – sit down and replay it and take notes on it. Why? Because you want to involve all of the senses possible with this information. Seeing the information by writing it out physically, hearing the information, repeating the information in your own voice so your mind can hear you say it. Get your entire physiology around this information. And YES, this is important. And most of all go out and teach this information to someone else within 24 hours. You don’t have to act like you’re teaching it to someone just replay the conversation to a friend or spouse or anyone who will listen. Why? Because if you do this you will learn it quicker and it will stick. Now you’ve engaged all of the senses, but that won’t create what you want only ACTION will at this point.
From the conversation and session you had with your mentor you will need to internalize the information physiologically as described. At this point, within 24 hours, you will also want to review the information once more then sit down and write out all of the ideas you received as you replay it in your mind once again. Once the ideas are on paper you will want to flesh the ideas out further on your own. For each one write a synopsis of how this idea would look in its working form and what the benefits would be for you and others as you take action and implement these ideas.
You must earn mentorship folks. Work hard and do exactly what your mentor coaches you to do. One of the main reasons most never truly receive TRUE mentorship is their EGO will not allow it. I personally have worked with several individuals on a mentorship basis and the only thing that prevented some from achieving massive results and greatness was themselves.
So as you look for, seek and find mentorship be sure you are open to receive the invaluable coaching and then take MASSIVE ACTION. Your results will come, and if they aren’t as quick as you desire redouble your efforts and follow your mentors coaching as many times as it takes!
My wife and I received the mentorship, coaching and leadership and paid it forward. You can do the same in any circumstance. Find out what drives you what and you want to achieve in your field of endeavor and then find a mentor who has succeeded in that area. Take them out to lunch and find out about them and how they did it. Never ask for mentorship, instead first build a relationship. Mentorship relationships are built over time and develop into friendships that can last for a lifetime.
