    What change for the guy that plays the gangster….i think he is same guy who plays in Rab ne Bana de Jodi.He’s the barber/friend to SRK’s character who teaches him how to be cool/”macho” pretty funny.

    @kaliyuta ok Priya, settle down. No need to get all heated up over a viewer’s perception, or to very idiotically base your somewhat misconstrued passion for this part of the film’s synopsis on me being a male lol. Yes the story is about the selflessness of love and yes thank you for very aptly picking up on that yourself. Well done. I went over it step by step in order to paint a clearer distinct factual picture of the plot. That’s all. No matter the interpretation, it was a brilliant movie.

    @PaPPaE salim wanted to use lathika as bait to prove he has a girl to sell to also work for the gangstar,as well as bragging to the biggest gangstar in mumbai that he just killed his rival.
    Its very deep if u understand the ppl the culture,and so on.Of course u being a man u wud think he just forced himself on lathika coz clrly u think thats good.The moral of this story is that he ended up basically sacrificing himself to save her.

    Lastly..Forcing some1 by gunpoint (in general) to have *** with u dozn’t prove “ur the boss” it proves ur a coward.I dnt think this is what happened.However many ppl have interpreted it in this manner.

    He say how the old gangstar,(the gangstar salim killed,used lathika for money/slave,so since he wanted to work for the bigst gangstar in mumbai….

    @kaliyuta I think it’s because there is a scene where Salim points the gun at Jamal, tells him to get lost; Lathika to then appease the situation, tells Jamal to go too. Salim then closes the door with Lathika…and it is presumed that they have sex, cause Salim wanted to prove to Jamal that he is the boss.

    @kaliyuta Actually doesn’t Salim kill the gangster when they’re teenagers? The gangster that Salim works for in that scene is the dead gangster’s rival!!

    But yeah….what the hell is the other guy talking about with ****?? lol….I guess somebody is criticizing a movie without watching it!!

    i really **** jamal’s brother wen they were young did u see him let go of latika’s hand and didint let latika inside in the shelter and he is trying to act cool with a gun but its not working he is good actor but i no the director told him to act that way….

    First of all learn how to spell ******. Second of all this film put India on the MAP, it addressed important issues such as poverty that need to be fixed. Besides, the whole point of the film was to see Jamal succeed, and he does! :D

    This is one of those scenes where I’m thinking to myself “y dont the ppl do anything??!!!” but of course its part of the plot but i keep thinking that. AWESOME MOVIE !!!!
